INSTRUCTIONS
Below are downloads of three different build
profiles for the Helix DNA Client. These downloads are differentiated
by what components are
included, and what licenses are necessary to obtain them.
Note: The builds on this page are for
developers looking for a command-line reference player. For a
complete user interface, the Helix Player or the RealPlayer are
probably more appropriate. For builds of Helix Player and/or
RealPlayer, please visit the Helix Player
downloads page
PLATFORMS
win32-i386-vc6 - Compiled for Windows 98/2000/NT/XP
linux-2.2-libc6-i386 - Compiled for Linux, using GCC 2.95.
This version is incompatible with components compiled using GCC 3.0 or
later.
linux-2.2-libc6-i586 - Compiled for Linux, using GCC 3.2.
This version is incompatible with components compiled using GCC 2.95 or
earlier.
macos-gcc3-pb - Compiled for Mac OS X, using GCC and
Project Builder
source - Source code in tar.gz format.
TARGETS
all_clients_nodist - This package
contains a
complete client capable of playing back many datatypes, including MP3
audio, H.263 video, SMIL 2.0, JPEG, GIF, and PNG over HTTP and
RTSP/RTP, as well as locally.
all_clients - This package contains all of the
functionality
described above, and adds the ability to play RealAudio, RealVideo,
RealMedia File Format (.rm) over HTTP, RTSP/RDT, as well as locally.
This target requires explicit agreement to the terms of Binary EULA
license (see BINARY EULA below)
splay [min_heap] - This package is a minimal RealAudio and
RealVideo client implementation designed to demonstrate a small client
suitable for inclusion on devices. This target requires both the RPSL
and the Binary EULA license (see BINARY EULA below)
BINARY EULA
Some build targets include binary components, such as RealAudio,
RealVideo, and/or Flash which require agreement to our Binary End User
License Agreement (Binary EULA). These targets will require you
to click "I Agree" before being presented with the opportunity to
download the binary distribution.
